Privacy — Site Manager Sense

This is a small early pilot built by one developer, not a company. This page says plainly what the game collects and why.

What we collect

Only if you actively use the 💬 Feedback or 💡 Suggest an idea buttons. Submitting sends:

Please don't type personal details (names, phone numbers, email addresses) into the feedback boxes; they are not needed.

If you don't use Feedback, Suggest an idea or Multiplayer, nothing is sent anywhere while you play — the game runs entirely in your browser.

Multiplayer (only if you choose it)

Multiplayer connects your browser to a small game server so that people in the same session can see each other. When you create or join a session, the server receives and shows to the other players in that session: the display name you type, your chat messages, where you are on the site, the evidence you share, and your votes. Please use a nickname or first name, not a full name or any personal details, and do not put personal details in chat. The server also sees your network address (IP address) while you are connected, to limit abuse.

This information is kept in the server's memory only. It is not written to a database, not used for analytics and not sold or shared. A session and everything in it is deleted when the host closes it (the server forgets it within 10 minutes) or after 2 hours without activity, and always when the server restarts. The server's hosting provider may keep ordinary technical connection logs. The host of a session can remove players and close the session. Multiplayer is intended for supervised use, for example in a class.

Optional support (Buy Me a Coffee)

The game links to our Buy Me a Coffee page for people who want to support the project. Support is voluntary and is not needed to play. It is an ordinary link: nothing is sent to Buy Me a Coffee unless you click it, and the game does not load any Buy Me a Coffee script, widget or tracker. If you click it, you leave this site and Buy Me a Coffee's own terms, privacy policy and payment handling apply.

What is stored in your browser

While you are in a Multiplayer session your browser also keeps a temporary session key in session storage (so that you can come back after a dropped connection); it disappears when you close the tab.

No cookies. The game saves two small items in your browser's local storage on your own device: your light/dark theme choice, the display name you used in Multiplayer (so you do not have to type it again), and the random session ID above (created the first time you send feedback). Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Where it goes

Submissions go to Netlify Forms (our hosting provider's built-in form handling) and are emailed to us. No third-party analytics, ad trackers, or marketing tools are used by us.

Standard hosting logs

Like effectively every website, our host (Netlify) automatically keeps basic technical server logs for every visit — things like IP address, browser type, and request time — for security and operating the service. This happens regardless of whether you use Feedback or Suggest an idea, it's not something our own code requests or reads, and we don't combine it with anything you submit.

What we don't do

No accounts, no passwords, no payment details, no location tracking beyond the standard hosting logs above, no selling or sharing data with anyone else.
